Abdominal Ultrasound

(Gallbladder, Pancreas, Liver, Spleen, Kidneys, Common Bile Duct, and Aorta)

Abdominal ultrasound is most commonly used to determine the cause of abdominal pain or other symptoms your doctor wishes to investigate not involving the stomach or bowel.

Preparation:

  • Nothing to eat or drink for 12 hours prior to your appointment. No smoking or chewing gum after midnight (affects abdominal motion). You may brush your teeth in the morning.
  • Please report to the Ultrasound check-in 15 minutes before your appointment time.
  • You will receive a reminder call the business day prior to your exam.

Note: We charge $50.00 for missed appointments or for cancellations with less than 24 hours notice.
